Leslie Howard, LMSW, MSSW

Executive Director

Leslie graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in 1990 with her Masters of Science in Social Work. She has worked in various roles with Inheritance Adoptions since 1996. Her primary role other than Executive Director is conducting home studies and approving couples as adoptive couples through Inheritance Adoptions. In addition, she completes the post placement supervision of the child for the six months after placement until finalization of the adoption. She attends seminars annually to improve her knowledge and skill as an adoption social worker. Her favorite aspect of her job is "watching God orchestrate placements to give children a stable, two-parent, Christian home in which to be raised.

 

Misty King, BSW

Birth Parent Counselor

Misty graduated from Midwestern State University in 2008 with her Bachelors of Art in Social Work. Before joining the IA staff in June of 2008 she completed a year long internship with Inheritance Adoptions. Her primary role with the agency is to help birth mothers obtain prenatal care and find resources that will help them during the pregnancy. She is an advocate for the birth mother to help make sure their needs are met. She provides counseling for the girls during and after the pregnancy to make sure their emotion needs are being met as well. She attends seminars annually to improve her knowledge regarding birth parent issues in adoption. Her favorite aspect of the job is watching God work every detail out in his own timing. Nothing brings her greater joy than to hold that newborn baby as well!

 

Linda Sakolevidis

Adoptive Couple Liaison

Waiting can be a very tough time for some couples, and Linda is there to be a support and help you through it as much as possible. Linda and her husband Olaf have adopted both of their children through Inheritance. Destiny is 11 years old and Landon is 3 years old. Linda has two very different adoption stories with each child and is able to share with you her story, and help answer any questions, fears, or concerns.

Linda and her family live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and she is a full time RN. Adoption is her passion, and she loves to share their adoption stories and share how God blessed their family through adoption!

 

Kelsey West, BSW

Administrative/Social Work Assistant

Kelsey West graduated with her bachelors in social work from Midwestern State University this December and is planning to continue her education by receiving her masters. She joined Inheritance first as an intern in August 2010 for a year long internship before becoming part of the staff. Her main duties are helping birth mothers in various ways, doing filing and office work, and bookkeeping. She has greatly enjoyed the freedom to share hope and the love of Christ with birth mothers and past birth mothers.

 

KJ Aboussie Mowrey

Community Outreach Coordinator

Kara Jane graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a degree in Communications and Educational Psychology. Her primary role with the agency will be to assist us with spreading the word about adoption to our community!
